All about the center
Where is the center located and how do I get there?
The center is located in the heart of Lugano, in Via Ferruccio Pelli 13 (formerly Piazza Monte Ceneri). You can easily reach us both by public transport (TPL), and private: there are parking lots and parking garages near the center. We are 10 minutes’ walk from the railway station and 8 minutes from Parco Ciani.
What are your hours? Can I make appointments during my lunch break?
Sure! We are open from 7:00 to 20:00, nonstop.
Does hydrotherapy follow the same schedule as in the center?
Hydrokinesitherapy is available two days a week: Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 am
to 12:30. The hydrokinesis therapy sessions take place at the Maraini Park swimming pool,

How can I make an appointment?

What if I can't make it to my appointment or am forced to cancel?
Canceling an appointment is not a problem, just contact us up to 12 hours before the scheduled time by email or telephone. We will be happy to help you find a solution.
Please remember to notify us if you cannot come, otherwise the missed appointment
will be billed.
Do you accept cash payments? What about credit cards?
We accept cash payments, debit cards, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Apple Pay credit cards.
Can I pay for physiotherapy sessions privately?
Yes, the sessions can also be conducted and paid for privately (without a prescription).
Evaluation + Physiotherapy treatment: 60 minutes at CHF 60.-
Physiotherapy treatment: 30 minutes for CHF 45.-
Can a simple massage also be booked?
Of course! We perform different types of massage:
Classic massage: 60 minutes for CHF 80.-, 30 minutes for CHF 45.-
Sports Massage: 60 minutes for CHF 100.-, 30 minutes for CHF 60.-
Lymphatic drainage: 45 minutes for CHF 80.-
Some massage techniques in our center are recognized by complementary health insurance (Classic Massage n.102). Before making an appointment, we always recommend contacting your health insurance provider to make sure your treatment will be reimbursed.
All about the PHYSIOTHERAPY SERVICE
Who can be treated with physiotherapy?
Anyone can be treated with physiotherapy: children, the elderly, pregnant women and athletes.
We also offer an at home service for people who are unable to make it to us.
What kinds of health problems can be treated with physiotherapy?
Our physiotherapists treat disturbances affecting the osteo-articular, neurological, vestibular, pelvic, mandibular and rheumatological systems.

How do I begin a physiotherapy or rehabilitation course?
To start a rehabilitation process you will need to go to either your primary care physician, an orthopedist, or a physiatrist to get a prescription in order for your health insurance to cover the therapy. Once you have obtained a prescription, you will need to make an initial appointment.
How long should I wait after an operation to start physiotherapy?
It is important to start physiotherapy as soon as possible after the operation, in accordance with your doctor, in order to reduce recovery time. Whenever possible, we also recommend pre-operative preparation to achieve optimal conditions and facilitate a better recovery.
Can I choose my physiotherapist?
Yes, you can express a preference when making your first appointment. We will be happy to satisfy your request.
How long does a session last?
Physiotherapy treatments vary according to the patient's particular needs and can vary from 30 to 60 minutes. If you need a rehabilitation program in the gym, the duration of the session can last up to 2 hours. We set the duration of the session according to your needs.
How does the first physiotherapy session work?
The first physiotherapy session usually has an evaluative function, it will allow us to discern the type of treatment needed to help you get better.
What should I bring to the first session?
For the first session, we recommend that you bring your personal health insurance card and your doctor's prescription, along with diagnostic paperwork relevant to your injury or illness. It is best to bring all the medical relevant medical information you have so our physiotherapists can best evaluate your problem and define a targeted treatment.
How long does a physiotherapy course last?
Each rehabilitation course is subjective and takes into account your pathology, whether acute or chronic, and its typical recovery times.
How should I dress for a physiotherapy session?
We suggest that you wear comfortable clothing. If performing activities in the gym, clean sneakers, athletic pants or shorts, and a short-sleeved t-shirt are recommended.
