Physiotherapy for developmental growth focusing on evaluation, prevention, and rehabilitation
Pediatric physiotherapy specifically caters to children from infancy. The evaluation of patients, in close collaboration with the pediatrician, is carried out by observing natural movements and during recreational activities. Treatments, such as massage, mobilization, manual therapies, stretching, and selected exercises, are designed to make children feel comfortable in a relaxed and playful environment, encouraging the little patient to participate enthusiastically.
The therapist's role also includes involving parents in the treatments and explaining the purpose and functions of all planned therapies, advising activities to continue independently at home, and scheduling regular appointments to check progress. Pediatric physiotherapy draws from all other specializations, adapting the treatment (whether orthopedic, neurological, vestibular, etc.) with all the care and attention the child needs.
Our center also organizes infant massage lessons in the course room. New parents of children up to one year old learn sensory stimulation, relaxation, body language, and communication through different types of crying. The course is also a precious moment of cuddling and deep tenderness, bringing joy to both babies and parents.
Another area of great attention is the treatment of scoliosis, which has a high incidence in pediatric patients. For more detailed information on this important topic, please refer to the dedicated section.
